Germaine Fields
Legal Counsel
Germaine practices in the areas of employment law, family law, and corporate transactions.
With a focus on the cost-benefit analysis of litigation, Germaine emphasizes collaboration prior to litigation in her practice of law. Germaine has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, and has experience representing clients in private arbitrations.
Prior to Mint Legal, Germaine worked at several boutique law firms, the Crown Prosecutor’s Office and several major oil and gas companies.
Germaine is a member of the Association of Women in Law, J. Reuben Clark Law Society, Law Society of Alberta, Alberta Wilderness Association. Additionally, Germaine serves on the board of directors of the Solace Grief Support Society.

Kathleen Ard
Legal Counsel
Kathleen practices in the areas of family law, employment law and wills and estates.
Kathleen takes a collaborative approach on files where she offers pragmatic advice to clients and looks at issues from various angles to progress negotiations and reach resolution.
Kathleen has gained a broad range of legal experience in multiple jurisdictions and across several areas of law. Kathleen has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and King’s Bench for family matters, and has appeared before both Provincial and Federal Courts for criminal matters. Prior to her admission as a lawyer in Alberta, Kathleen was admitted as a lawyer in Australia where she worked on family criminal law cases.
Kathleen is a member of the Association of Women in Law, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Law Society of New South Wales.

Craig Kelba
Student at Law
Craig earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2025, bringing with him a unique perspective shaped by his prior career as an educator in both Nunavut and Calgary. His background as a teacher deeply informs his approach to law—grounded in collaboration, leadership, relationship building, and creative problem-solving.
Throughout law school, Craig maintained a strong focus on community engagement and advocacy. He served on the board of the University of Calgary Indigenous Law Students Association, supporting initiatives that promote equity and representation within the legal profession. He also volunteered as a project lead with Pro Bono Students Canada, where he guided youth through the Youth Criminal Court Mock Trial program—an experience that combined his passions for education and justice.
Craig is committed to building a legal practice that is inclusive, community-oriented, and solutions-focused, with a particular interest in areas where social impact and the law intersect.

Legal Assistant to Kathleen Ard
Amanpal Khehra is a dedicated legal assistant currently pursuing studies in law at the Open University. With a strong interest in criminal law, contract law, and land law, Amanpal brings both academic insight and practical support to every case he works on.
He supports the legal team with detailed research, document preparation, and case management, bringing a professional and organized approach to every task. Amanpal is committed to developing his legal career and gaining practical experience as he works toward becoming a solicitor.

Sara manages the front-line of Mint Legal’s operations, and is the key point of contact for all initial inquiries to the firm.
