Fill out this statement which sets out ALL of your assets and liabilities. This will be sworn with your lawyer or a legal assistant and be submitted to the court. This statement is used to address family property issues.
Fill out a budget of your monthly expenses. This will be submitted to the court and will be considered as a part of determining whether spousal support or partner support is appropriate.
If you have children under 18, take the PAS course (online) and provide a certificate of completion to your lawyer. Here is the link
Get a copy of your original marriage certificate. Note: a ceremonial certificate won’t work. You can order a new Alberta marriage certificate at the registry.
